Archer is Four Months!

Archer Cade Washburn, 4 months
It's hard to believe just four months ago, Archer was born. It seems like it was just yesterday, and yet it's clear just how much he's grown! In the last month, Archer has had a number of 1sts! Here's what Archer's been busy doing in the last month:

Mr. roly poly finally rolled all the way over! On Sunday, October 2nd, Archer rolled over for the first time! I think Mommy and Daddy scared him - we were cheering and laughing kinda loud :)

Our sitter, Ms. Lori had to have surgery in mid-October so we've been thinking about her and praying for her as she heals. In the mean time, Grandma and sometimes Ms. Beth Anne have been taking care of Archer. We have been very thankful and blessed to have them nearby to help us take care of our little guy!

Archer loves his Grandma!!

On October 26th, Grandpa brought Archer a new toy...an Exer-Saucer!!!! And boy does he love it!!

Archer is getting so strong!! He bounces and stands and dances all around in his Exer-Saucer and when you hold him! He is so much fun!

Archer's been giggling and trying to find his voice for some time now, but on October 27th, Archer had his first serious belly laugh! Aaron wasn't there so I called him in the hopes that Archer would do it again, but I think he knew he was on the spot when I picked up my phone so he was done with the big laughs for the night. But he finally laughed for Dad on November 2nd -- it was such a sweet moment!

For the last few weeks, we've been putting Archer in his borrowed purple Bumbo chair and letting him sit at the dinner table with us, and the whole time, he was acting like a baby bird...eagerly watching and anticipating that he would get s-o-m-e-t-h-i-n-g. Well, he finally did! We started on rice cereal on October 15th. He didn't really seem to have an opinion about the flavor, but when we started him on carrots - Whoa! He wanted to try and feed himself (see previous post for more carrot pix!).

Archer eating rice cereal. He seems confused...Mom, is this what you were eating?

On October 29th, we took Archer to his first Pumpkin Patch! He got to pick out a pumpkin and feel hay for the first time!!

Archer's first pumpkin patch visit!

What IS this stuff?!

What a cute lil pumpkin!
We had so much fun in the pumpkin patch!!

I'm ready for my 1st Halloween!!

For Halloween, we dressed Archer up as Superman! We'd been planning this since like August because when we held Archer up, he would put his little arms out like Superman - it was just fitting! On Sunday, October 30th, we went to the Fall Festival at CityView Church and we had so much fun!!

Our little Superman!

Archer as Superman, Dad as a Bull Rider!

Look at those handsome guys!!

It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman!!
