Archer is Three Months!!

Archer Cade Washburn, 3 months

Wow! I can't believe our little man is 3 months already. I know I'm a little late on sharing this update, but I've been busy since I went back to work. Lots of changes! You know, it's crazy, but I feel like we just brought Archer home yesterday...and yet so much has changed since we brought him home! For one, Archer isn't up every 2 hours at night anymore. When you're going through that phase, it seems like it will never end, and then when it stops, you think, that wasn't bad at all! Funny how your perspective changes, isn't it?

So, here's what Archer's been up to:

On Friday, August 26th, Archer officially moved into his crib in his room! He's such a big boy!! (Mommy slept with the baby monitor in her hand.) Archer likes to be swaddled; we think it helps him sleep better, and that's a-okay with Mom and Dad :)

He looks so peaceful when he sleeps.

On Wednesday, August 31st, Archer reached out and grabbed his bottle and held it all by himself! Of course, he dropped it as soon as I pulled out the camera. Little turkey!

On Saturday, September 3rd, Archer went to his friend, Ryder's #2 birthday party! He had a great time watching all of the kiddos running around, eating fruit and cupcakes. He told me he can't wait till he can eat cupcakes. I told him I couldn't wait till he could eat rice cereal. LOL.

On Sunday, September 4th, we celebrated Labor day with the Gresham family, and we went for a swim in their new swimming pool. Archer was kind of cranky, but he had fun playing with Logan and Ellie, and he really liked floating in Ms. Pam's inflatable pirate ship. In fact, he fell asleep! Good times. We love hanging out with the Greshams!

On Wednesday, September 7th, I started dropping Archer off with his baby sitter, Ms. Lori, for a few hours at a time to help me transition. Archer didn't have any problems. I cried everyday that week.

On Monday, September 12th, Archer had his last bottle of breast milk. As many of you know, this was kind of a struggle for me, but it was worth every tear. It took me a day and a half to make this bottle:

Sept. 12, 2011, The Last Bottle of BM, 5.5oz.

On Tuesday, September 27th, Archer gets his roll on! He didn't roll over, but he realized that he can roll, and he started rolling from side to side! It's so fun to watch him realize the things can do...amazing really.

Archer is weighing in at about 12lbs. 5oz, and he's becoming so active! He's such a happy baby!

Look at that sweet smile! Such a happy little guy!

But he still likes Mommy to hold him and rock him...

Gosh, we love him so much! He's changed our lives in so many ways, and I couldn't possibly be more thankful!
