Well folks, the time has come. My maternity leave is winding down. It's hard to believe I've been off of work for so long, and it's even harder to imagine my days without my little guy. For the last couple of weeks, I've been taking Archer to his baby sitter, Ms. Lori, for a few hours at a time to try and ease into this, but it's so hard. I don't think there's been a single day that's gone by that I haven't cried. (The most exciting part by far is picking him up!)
What gives me peace is to know that he's in good hands with a sweet lady who will take good care of him. My friend Randy H. reassured me that Ms. Lori will be like a second Grandma to Archer before long, and that just fills me with hope and happiness. I had a "second grandma" when I was growing up, and she was wonderful. I'm looking forward to the new normal: me going back to work, Aaron back in school and working, and Archer keeping us both in check! Please pray for us during this time of change.
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. Psalm 67:1-2
