I know it's been a while since my last update, so the first thing I want to do is express our sincere Thanks! Aaron and I have been blessed to have had several showers since my last update so I really want to thank all of our friends and family for blessing us so generously and lovingly.
...I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you... Romans 1:8
First, a big thank you to my sweet friend Meg N. who threw me a beautiful shower at work at the beginning of May. It was a small and intimate shower, and everything was just perfect! We received so many wonderful gifts, and I can't thank my friends and coworkers enough. Meg also gave me the most beautiful heart-shaped orchid -- I hope I can keep him alive!! Orchids are so finicky; if anyone has any tips they can share on caring for them, I am all ears!!
We also want to thank Lisa C. and Cassie R. from Aaron's office for throwing us a diaper shower. We received tons of diapers (and other goodies!) & I was sure we received enough diapers to last us like a year...until I read one of the notes that said, "This should last you at least a week." OMG!! Many thanks to all of Aaron's friends and coworkers for so generously taking care of us as we enter parenthood.
Many thanks are in order for Gale H. & Debra J. for throwing us a beautiful shower for my friends who don't work with me. Gale & Debra were the perfect hostesses! Thank you to all of our friends who came from so far away to help us celebrate! We love you guys and appreciate all of the sweet blessings! I can't wait to return the favor ;)
Last but not least, I want to thank my sweet girls at church for throwing me such a wonderful shower! A big thank you to Beth Anne D., Alicia D., Ginger L., and Rebecca S. for being so incredibly creative and going above and beyond! The "Ahoy it's a Boy!" theme just blew me away, and the whale & anchor cookies & the whale cake were just amazing!!
Aaron and I are so touched by each of our friends and family members who have done so much for us...diapers, gifts, prayers, support...we just can't thank you all enough. Please know how much each of you mean to us and how truly grateful we are to you.
Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God.
